Jason Sun
Jason Sun earned a Bachelor of Arts in music, majoring in violin, with first-class honours at the Baptist University of Hong Kong. He furthered his education and obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Arts Management with merit from the University of Manchester, UK. He studied violin and viola under Italian violinist Mr Andrea Zanchetta and Prof. Wong Man Kee, respectively. Moreover, he was a student of Mr Leung Tai Wai in music theory and analysis. He received the Associateship Diplomas from the Trinity College London (ATCL) in violin and viola (distinction) recital while also earning the Grade 8 certificates in music theory from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Jason is an enthusiastic supporter of music education. Since 2012, he has taught at various major music centres and schools in Hong Kong, including the Holy Family Canossisan School and ESF Quarry Bay School. Apart from teaching, he has a lot of experience participating in ensemble performances. He was a member of several local orchestras, including the HKBU Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Cordiality HK and has performed across Asia since 2008. In 2015, Jason was also deeply involved in the recording of the album' Half Moon Rising: Choral Music from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan' as well as the soundtrack recording for the movie' Weeds on Fire' in 2016. During the same year, he was interviewed by renowned local pianist and pedagogue Ms Nancy Loo for her RTHK radio programme 'Children's Corner.'
