HK iMusic Piano Programme

The Hong Kong iMusic Academy is proud to introduce our comprehensive pioneering piano programmes for children of all ages and adults.  We offer six unique piano programmes targeted at students' specific needs and desired results.

ABRSM Exam Drilling &
Recording Package

This programme effectively guides students to achieve the highest results on their ABRSM piano exams.  Taught by both a concert pianist and a dedicated piano instructor, it is a one-on-one piano lesson study that spans a one, two, or three-month period with emphasis on ABRSM exam pieces only. In addition, this package includes 2-3 hours of ABRSM exam recording services on a grand piano at an ABRSM exam-recognised piano studio.

Adult Pop Piano:
Play-by-Ear

The Adult Pop Piano (Play-by-Ear) programme is specially designed for music lovers who missed the opportunity to learn the piano when they were young or those who want to revive their long-lost piano skills by playing the songs they enjoy. This programme is centred on our belief that students should be able to play their favourite songs without the need to read music scores. This course is taught using the unique 'HK iMusic Play-by-Ear approach. Our experienced piano instructors have published compositions across various musical genres, including notable works in musical theatre. The Pop Piano (Play-by-Ear) programme is suitable for all ages.

Classical & Pop Piano

This is our very own iconic piano programme incorporating the 'HK iMusic piano approach' that effectively stimulates students' interest in learning the piano. We teach students classical piano works and pieces for the ABRSM exam for approximately 45 minutes during each one-hour lesson. For the remainder of the class, students learn how to play their favourite songs using the 'Hong Kong iMusic Play-By-Ear' technique. This results in students gaining a deeper interest in playing the piano, leading to a lifetime of musical enjoyment.

Piano Master Class & Diploma Programme

This programme is also ideal for preparing students for live classical music performances. It is an excellent way as well to nurture promising piano students into skilled performers at the pre-university and pre-music conservatory level, helping them acquire an advanced school placement or prepare for the ATCL exams. Taught under the direction of renowned concert pianist, Dr. Wu (Doctor of Musical Arts, Moscow Conservatoire) and various Hong Kong iMusic Academy visiting pianists (IVPs), this programme aims to enhance students' ability to learn music more efficiently and retain pieces for much longer periods. Students will also learn to practice more effectively building their confidence level for stage performances, auditions and competitions while also helping them achieve the highest grades possible on exams.

ABRSM (Grade 1-8) & Classical Piano Lesson 

Our teachers are all widely respected experts on their particular instruments and areas of instruction, with the majority of instructors holding a Bachelor of Arts in Music and performance diplomas from Trinity College London. Some have also earned post-graduate or higher degrees. The primary mission at our Academy is to nurture a love of music in children. For this reason, we cater to each student individually and match them with the most suitable teacher and programme.

Piano Enrichment Programme

Taught by our esteemed resident concert pianist, Dr. Wu (Doctor of Musical Arts, Moscow Conservatoire), this programme is the ideal course to prepare students for piano exams, competitions and stage performances.
